Greetings,
Wow, Easter is such a beautiful season. It’s so nice to know that Jesus was thinking about all of us when he died on that cross. I can’t even begin to think of the sacrifice or how it must feel to have nails pierced through your skin. It’s such a beautiful feeling knowing that no matter where life takes us, we have a friend in Christ. I am so grateful I could write a novel about Christ and his dedication to my life, so I’ll stop there. I spent Easter weekend with my Tupperware Family (Former Youth of the Year Sponsors) in Florida. It was absolutely beautiful. They have fully welcomed me into their family with open arms.
March was a beautiful month. I can’t believe that April has come so quickly. I experienced so many remarkable things in one month. I started this month out by attending a celebration where Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Gabrielle Giffords, Barbara Mikulski and many other powerful women spoke. It was AMAZING. I also got to see my Youth of the Year little Sisters the night before they met President Barack Obama. On top of all that, my mother came to visit me. Her visit was just what I needed. She cleaned up my dorm room, cooked me delicious food, and took me grocery shopping. Mothers are truly angels and I am incredibly thankful to have her in my life.
Not much has changed on my end. I am still working hard at the Department of Justice trying to learn everything I can before I move to New York this summer. I met the Attorney General Eric Holder, he is such a funny guy. He is very personable! I’ve been trying to soak it all in. I actually intern at the Department of Justice. I never saw this coming and it’s crazy to think about the opportunities I have been presented with. There are only 3 weeks of school left, so I am going to do everything in my power to finish strongly. Below is a picture of me in Florida.
With Much Appreciation,
Kiana Knolland
